The U.S. Embassy Jakarta is seeking an individual
for employment for the position of Mail Escort at the Embassy Fleet Post
Office.
BASIC
FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Position assists and supports the FPO in escorting the U.S. mail
from airport delivery to the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
NOTE: All
applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific
and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Completion of secondary
school is required.
2. 6 to 12 months of general
work experience is required.
3. Must be available on the job
training on Military/Civilian Mail regulations and procedures. Must have basic understanding of proper
escorting procedures.
4. Level 3 (good working knowledge) in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is
required.
5. Attention to detail is
required. Must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest,
budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are
not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family
Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions
within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs
hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for
advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually
Employed (WAE) work schedule.
