The U.S. Embassy Jakarta is seeking an AEFM (Appointment Eligible Family Member), U.S. EFM (U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Member) and U.S. MOH (U.S. Citizen Member of Household) for the position of Security Escort at the GSO/FMU.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The position primarily supports GSO/FMU with providing security escort service.
1. Assist and support FMU in overseeing activities at all FMU work sites. The individual will serve as FMU representative and liaise with contractors and vendors at the associated work sites. Duties will include customer service support for all FMU activities that require intervention, follow up and feedback.
2. Serve as a Security Escort accompanying FSNs, contractor and vendors in the CAA at the Chancery, FPD building, etc as required.
3. Support of RSO, Executive, Political and ECON offices when requested. May also include assisting the Official pouch runs, Support Flights and VIP visits. Security purchase materials protocol for CAA when purchasing item locally.
4. Supervise and coordinate works of FMU crews and contractors which are done in CAA.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Must have 6 to 12 months of general work experience.
3. SEO Briefing, RSO Briefing and on the job training is necessary
4. Level 4 (fluency) in Speaking/ Reading/Writing English is required.
5. Must have basic understanding of security and proper escorting procedures.
6. Attention to detail. Must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures.
7. The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a Top Secret security clearance.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current AEFM employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
5. The candidate must have at least nine months remaining at post from the closing date of the vacancy.
