U.S. Embassy Hosts Martin Luther King. Jr. Day Program

January 23, 2008 (Jakarta) -- The U.S. Embassy hosted a program for Indonesian university students, NGOs, and think tank representatives about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. In addition to watching a short film on the U.S. civil rights movement, the audience heard personal testimony from Embassy Officers who were inspired by Dr. King, including Ambassador Hume, who participated in the March on Washington as a young adult.
