Bahasa Indonesia

October 16, 2007 (Jakarta) -- The U.S. Embassy demonstrated its new on-line appointment system which is designed to make it easier for Indonesians traveling to the United States to make non-immigrant visa appointments.  The new system allows applicants to make appointments for themselves and their families, view available appointment dates up to three months in advance, and is available 24 hours every day.

Consul General William M. Howe said “This new online non-immigrant visa appointment system will save Indonesians time and money, since there is no need to call the embassy long distance to make an appointment any longer.”  Other advantages of the online non-immigrant visa appointment system include:

  • 24-hour availability
  • Viewable appointments up to three months in advance
  • Easy-to-read calendar format
  • Online appointment system is transparent and open
  • Ability to change appointment times and dates online
  • Immediate confirmation

Starting October 15, all appointments for non-immigrant visas can be made online or by telephone or via email. Starting November 1, 2007, the on-line system will be REQUIRED except for travel for critical medical emergencies.  For more information on the visas to the United States, please visit the U.S. Embassy website at: http://jakarta.usembassy.gov.
