U.S. Department of Agriculture Offers $100
Million September 9, 2003 The U.S. Department of Agriculture has authorized $100 million in credit guarantees for the sale of U.S. agricultural commodities to Indonesia under the Commodity Credit Corporation's Export Credit Guarantee Program (GSM-102) for fiscal year 2003. Indonesian traders can work with their U.S. suppliers to apply for credit guarantees on a first-come, first-served basis to cover sales of any of the commodities specified in the GSM list of commodities published in the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) program announcement PR 0346-02 issued September 24, 2002, excluding soybeans. The latest commodity list can be obtained by accessing the FAS home page list below. Eligibility for this program will close on September 30, 2003. The allocation does not assign dollar amounts to any of the commodities specified in the GSM list of commodities, thus providing buyers and sellers maximum flexibility in arranging the size of their transactions within the scope of the overall allocation. ELIGIBLE BANKS Any bank approved by the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) for Indonesia is eligible. For a complete list of eligible banks, refer to the CCC "GSM Program Foreign Bank Obligors" Web page located at http://www.fsa.usda.gov/dam/fmd/banks/banks.htm.
